There is nothing in he handbook that says that I'm allowed / NOT allowed to take paid leave for grievance.

What my boss has told me is that they do not pay for grievance time off - Unpaid Absense and that they are not required to by law.

 

I consider this unethical.

But my boss told me that I could take vacation hours.

I had enough for 3 days, so I took that so that I could still have my grievance, but I think it's wrong that I should have to do this instead of having grievance days with pay from my company.
